About The Position

Intel is seeking a senior, hands-on Infrastructure and DevOps Systems Engineer for its customer-facing engineering team. The role designs, deploys, automates, integrates, secures, and troubleshoots large-scale Linux, AI, and high-performance computing environments, contributing to next-generation compute platforms that support product development, validation, and production workloads. The engineer works across operating systems, firmware, cluster management, software distribution, infrastructure automation, containerized environments, and AI-assisted development workflows. The position focuses on building scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions that help engineering teams develop, validate, and deploy complex software and hardware platforms. The ideal candidate combines Linux administration expertise with software development, automation, and distributed-systems experience. Experience operating large-scale HPC or AI environments, managing RPM repositories and Lmod modules, and using modern AI development tools is desirable. This is an experienced-hire role eligible for Intel’s hybrid work model, splitting time between an assigned Intel site and off-site work. The position is listed for Hillsboro, Oregon, with additional locations in Phoenix, Arizona; Folsom and Santa Clara, California; and Beaver Brook, Massachusetts. The stated annual U.S. salary range is $100,550 to $194,270, with individual compensation determined by location and other factors.
