Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in Enterprise Infrastructure roles.
  • Degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong experience with: Server Infrastructure Management (Windows and Linux)
  • Active Directory Domain Services
  • Azure cloud services
  • VMware virtualization
  • Hybrid infrastructure (on-premises + cloud)
  • Working knowledge of backup and recovery solutions (Veeam, Commvault).
  • Working knowledge of enterprise storage (SAN, NAS, object, and cloud).
  • Solid understanding of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity concepts.
  • Solid experience with automation (PowerShell preferred).
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong technical documentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Infrastructure, Platform & Resiliency Management: Design, implement, and maintain enterprise server infrastructure across Windows Server environments (2019–2025), including lifecycle management, patching, hardening, and modernization. Administer and support Active Directory and core Microsoft infrastructure services, ensuring high availability and security. Manage and optimize virtualization platforms including VMware and Hyper-V. Support enterprise virtual application delivery platforms such as Citrix. Operate within a hybrid environment integrating on-premises infrastructure with Azure cloud services. Partner with Backup Administrators to support and enhance enterprise backup and recovery solutions using Veeam and Commvault. Contribute to Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Planning (BCP) strategies, ensuring alignment with infrastructure design and business requirements. Participate in DR testing, validation, and recovery exercises to ensure infrastructure readiness. Ensure infrastructure platforms are designed with resiliency, recoverability, and availability as core principles.
  • Cloud, Automation & Scalability: Design and support scalable infrastructure solutions using Microsoft Azure and other cloud platforms. Support and lead migration initiatives from on-premises environments to cloud platforms, including assessment, planning, execution, and post-migration optimization. Collaborate with application, network, and security teams to ensure seamless and secure workload transitions to the cloud. Perform ongoing assessment of cloud environments to identify cost optimization opportunities, including rightsizing, resource utilization improvements, and lifecycle management of cloud assets. Leverage scripting and automation (PowerShell) to improve operational efficiency and consistency. Support modern hybrid workloads, ensuring performance, availability, and scalability.
  • Solution Design & Architecture: Lead infrastructure Solution Design and Architecture, ensuring scalable, secure, and resilient solutions. Participate in architecture reviews, planning initiatives, and technology evaluations. Collaborate with security, network, cloud, and application teams to deliver integrated solutions. Develop and enforce infrastructure standards, policies, and best practices.
  • Operations, Monitoring & Continuous Improvement: Act as a senior escalation point for complex infrastructure issues. Monitor infrastructure health, capacity, and performance, proactively addressing risks. Collaborate with Backup Administrators to monitor backup health, job success rates, and recovery readiness, ensuring issues are identified and remediated in a timely manner. Identify opportunities to standardize, simplify, and automate operations. Support audits, compliance, and risk assessments related to infrastructure and resiliency.
  • Documentation & Governance: Create and maintain technical documentation, including: System Architecture designs, Infrastructure and Server Operations runbooks, Backup and recovery procedures (in collaboration with backup teams), DR & BCP plans. Develop and maintain documentation frameworks and standards that support consistency across systems administration, infrastructure architecture, and security practices, ensuring alignment with enterprise governance and compliance requirements.
