About The Position

Cribl is seeking a Senior Information Systems Engineer to join its IT Engineering team. The role owns the core corporate systems that support daily operations, including identity and access, endpoints, cloud infrastructure, and IT automation. It emphasizes reliability, security, scalability, and employee experience, and involves close collaboration with Security, Enterprise Applications, and People teams. The position reports to IT Engineering leadership and serves as a senior peer and escalation point across the IT & Security organization. The engineer will administer identity services, AWS infrastructure used by corporate IT, endpoint management, ServiceNow, SaaS integrations, and automation workflows. The role also includes evaluating and governing AI tools and MCP-based agent frameworks, providing Tier 3 incident escalation, participating in the IT on-call rotation, and contributing to IT metrics, fleet reporting, and documentation. Cribl is remote-first, and occasional work outside standard hours may be required to support teams across time zones.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in corporate IT roles with significant responsibility for systems administration across identity, SaaS, and/or infrastructure in a cloud-first environment.
  • A proven ability to balance project work with operational and on-call responsibilities.
  • Hands-on production experience administering AWS, including IAM, VPCs, EC2/ECS or similar services, basic networking, and tagging/governance.
  • Hands-on administration of ServiceNow or a similar enterprise ITSM platform, including workflow configuration, catalog items, change and incident processes, and basic reporting.
  • Production experience with at least one enterprise identity provider, including SSO, lifecycle management, and access policies.
  • Ownership experience managing macOS and/or Windows endpoints in a mid-to-large fleet, including baseline configurations, software distribution, and patch management.
  • Experience with at least one scripting language, such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash, and comfort working with REST APIs and JSON.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-moving, distributed environment, manage priorities, communicate proactively, and escalate when appropriate.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Jamf, Intune, and/or device posture tools such as Kolide.
  • Experience managing SaaS tools such as Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Atlassian, or Glean.
  • Experience designing or maintaining automations with Serval, Zapier, or equivalent orchestration platforms.
  • Experience evaluating, configuring, and governing enterprise AI tools and agents, such as Claude, Gemini, or Glean, and MCP-based agent frameworks.
  • Working knowledge of Azure subscriptions, RBAC, and group-based access, and/or other major cloud providers alongside AWS.
  • Prior experience supporting a rapidly scaling, distributed engineering organization.

Responsibilities

  • Administer the primary identity provider, such as Okta, and design joiner/mover/leaver automations with a focus on least privilege, auditability, contractor workflows, and elevated access.
  • Administer AWS accounts supporting corporate IT, VPN, and related infrastructure, including secure networking, logging, monitoring, and alerting.
  • Own macOS and Windows endpoint management through MDM, including zero-touch provisioning, patch management, security baselines, and compliance reporting.
  • Administer ServiceNow for IT & Security, including its data model, catalog, workflows, SLAs, and integrations.
  • Partner with Security, Finance, and Compliance on ITGC, SOX/IT controls, access reviews, and change management.
  • Design and maintain automation workflows across IT systems and serve as a subject matter expert for SaaS integrations across Okta, ServiceNow, Google Workspace, Slack, and Azure/AWS.
  • Evaluate, configure, and govern AI tools and MCP-based agent frameworks in partnership with IT and Security, establishing safe usage patterns, appropriate access controls, documentation, and runbooks.
