About The Position

This role involves discovering information hidden in vast amounts of data to help present data to leadership, enabling smarter decisions for better performance of the THCE program. The primary focus is applying data mining techniques, performing advanced analysis, and building high-quality ad hoc systems integrated with operations. This includes automating scoring techniques for department improvements, building recommendation systems, enhancing existing application features, developing internal A/B testing procedures, integrating system data between multiple applications, and creating applications and reports to aid leadership in decision-making. The role also involves creating and automating reporting and processes to assist the THCE team with performance. Close collaboration with Trinity Information Services is required to ensure CMMS Application servers are maintained and kept current, and to provide first-level support for any downtime occurrences. The position leads the processing of all patches and updates to applications and creates topic-specific ad hoc applications within SQL and HTML to meet operational needs, such as HTML Splash Pages, automatic notifications, the THCE Finance Application for budget building and Intercompany Transfer documentation, and interfaces to/from systems like PeopleSoft. The role is also responsible for learning and supporting the new cloud-based Facilio (CMMS) to accommodate growing data fields, formulas, and reports as the THCE Department expands its operational performance.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in business administration or information technology, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five (5) years of progressively more responsible experience in data analytics or informatics.
  • In-depth knowledge of the system development lifecycle.
  • Ability to develop appropriate methodologies for collecting, analyzing and evaluating large amounts of data.
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL, HTML, ServiceNow and database schema's.
  • Proficient in the use of Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Visio, Access, MS Project and PowerPoint.
  • Strong working knowledge of Computers including operating systems.
  • Advanced understanding of Wireless and Network Communications.
  • Advanced understanding of Web Based Application Development languages, i.e. html, java.
  • Comfortable with conflict and willing to challenge conventional thinking at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical skills, including ability to understand and define most critical issues and develop methodologies for collecting and analyzing relevant data (keep vs. buy, Total Cost Ownership (TCO), lease vs. buy, Net Present Value (NPV), Cost of Service Ratio (COSR), and so forth).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in order to effectively discuss data analytics with diverse groups and prepare reports.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to be a self-starter with ability to juggle priorities and manage own work to completion.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills to support involvement in multiple projects simultaneously in an environment of competing priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Create topic-specific ad hoc applications within SQL and HTML to meet operational needs.
  • Learn and support the new cloud-based Facilio (CMMS) to support adding fields, formulas, and reports as the THCE Department grows.
  • Develop solutions to support relationship with System Office finance, purchasing and TIS to improve data mining and analytics to support THCE operations through the CMMS.
  • Serve as data expert with all aspects of the CMMS including data structures and tables, and lead development of new end user tools.
  • Support Business Application team in ensuring that the CMMS is in compliance with local, state and federal regulations, as well as with JCAHO EC, AOA, CAP, and ANSI/AAMI EQ standards.
  • Manage and administer the CMMS Web Based work order entry and review component, as well as any supporting hardware peripherals.
  • Troubleshoot, resolve issues, and coordinate/perform upgrades for the CMMS with Trinity Information System.
  • Analyze and maintain standardized data tables.
  • Develop database-stored procedures to support operations and analytics.
  • Pro-actively analyze, monitor, and create reports to identify cost reduction, resource productivity, and service agreement expiration and compliance improvement.
  • Provide other database support to staff as needed.
  • Support and execute strategies related to improving reporting and analytic capabilities through facilitating detailed requirements gathering, report/dashboard testing, training and maintenance.
  • Provide reporting support from SCIS (Supply Chain Information System) and other available systems such as DSS, SSID and 3rd party tools.
  • Support on boarding of merger and acquisition targets to the SCIS data environment.
