About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Informatica Administrator to support critical enterprise systems and data integration initiatives for the Department of Veterans Affairs. This is a high-impact, senior-level role responsible for enterprise Informatica platform administration, secure data movement and integration, infrastructure and application support, and compliance with VA, NIST, and Federal security standards. Your work will directly support systems and services that help deliver care and operational support to Veterans nationwide. The Senior Informatica Administrator serves as a key member of a team responsible for maintaining and optimizing a complex enterprise Informatica environment. This role requires deep hands-on Informatica administration expertise, strong infrastructure and integration knowledge, experience supporting secure Federal environments, and the ability to collaborate with technical teams, vendors, ISSOs, and stakeholders. This is not a passive operations role-we are seeking a hands-on technologist who can administer, troubleshoot, secure, and improve enterprise Informatica platforms.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 8+ years overall IT experience
  • 6+ years direct hands-on Informatica Administration experience
  • Experience working in enterprise environments
  • Experience working in Federal or highly regulated environments preferred
  • Expert-level Informatica Administration experience
  • Hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter
  • Hands-on experience with Informatica Data Quality
  • Hands-on experience with Informatica TDM
  • Experience with application integrations
  • Experience with data movement and ETL workflows
  • Experience with scripting and automation
  • Experience with infrastructure troubleshooting
  • SSO / SOA architectures
  • PowerShell scripting
  • Red Hat Linux

Responsibilities

  • Administer and support enterprise Informatica environments including PowerCenter, Data Quality, and TDM (Test Data Management).
  • Manage and maintain Informatica platform domains and components.
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and operational health.
  • Ensure compliance with NIST cybersecurity standards, VA information security policies, and Federal security requirements.
  • Collaborate with ISSOs, System owners, and Security stakeholders.
  • Design and implement secure data handling and access controls for PII and PHI.
  • Design and manage complex integration architectures.
  • Support application integrations, data movement workflows, and infrastructure connectivity.
  • Troubleshoot enterprise processing workflows and data pipelines.
  • Analyze current and future system requirements.
  • Support capacity planning, infrastructure lifecycle management, and requirements engineering.
  • Recommend process improvements and technical enhancements.
  • Write and maintain Informatica scripts, queries, and PowerShell and Linux-based automation scripts.
  • Support system automation and operational efficiency initiatives.
  • Work closely with internal customers, vendors, engineers, and Federal stakeholders.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers.
  • Foster knowledge sharing and operational best practices.
