About The Position

The Boeing Company is seeking a Senior Industrial Security Specialist to serve as a Facility Security Officer (FSO) for our organization in Jacksonville, FL. This individual manages personnel security, facility accreditation, Communications Security (COMSEC) oversight/backup, incident investigations, prime and subcontract oversight, and security training to ensure compliance with government and company requirements.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Industrial Security
  • 3+ years of experience as a Facility Security Officer (FSO)
  • 3+ years of experience working in a classified environment or handling classified material
  • 3+ years of experience in personnel security administration, physical security, communications security and/or other programmatic security-related field
  • 3+ years of experience National Industrial Security Program (NISP) and 32 CFR part 117 (NISPOM)
  • 3+ years of experience utilizing Microsoft Office applications such as SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Project
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
  • Requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent military/security experience.
  • Additional security certifications or formal training
  • Aviation or aerospace business background
  • Proven ability to build relationships across organizational levels and manage subcontractor security

Responsibilities

  • Perform facility and physical security tasks: facility surveys, classified area reviews, access controls, and accreditation support
  • Advise and provide backup support for COMSEC activities with COMSEC Manager to ensure accountability and compliance
  • Lead incident investigations and Administrative Inquiries: identify vulnerabilities, interview personnel, document findings, and draft Management Action Letters and record corrective actions
  • Develop and deliver security awareness and training materials; mentor and coach junior security staff
  • Serve as a security point of contact program for internal stakeholders and government customers as it relates to the classified security program
  • Maintain secure records using systems such as DISS, NISS, SIMS or equivalent
  • Manage subcontractor security requirements
