About The Position

The Boeing Company is looking for a Senior Industrial Security Specialist to join us in Arlington, Virginia. This position will serve as the Special Access Program (SAP) Policy specialist for the Boeing Enterprise Classified Security (ECS) Governance, Risk, and Compliance team and will provide expert level input to the development, implementation, and effectiveness assessment of Company policies in support of US government security requirements. The position will engage with various SAP agencies to learn and understand new or changed policies, advocate for the Company's interests in those policies, research and develop proposed local policy implementation and ensure compliance across the Company's SAP portfolio. The position requires an active US Top Secret security clearance as well as recent, extensive experience supporting SAP programs, engaging with USG SAP agencies, interpreting and applying SAP policy, writing local or other policy, as well as communicating with senior government or industry leaders on matters of national security. The successful candidate will have either active SAP access or current SAP eligibility under DOW auspice.

Requirements

  • Successfully completed a Tier 5 Investigation (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) by the federal government within the last 5 years, or have you been enrolled in a Continuous Vetting program within the last 5 years
  • 10+ years of experience in Industrial Security working as a CPSO/ACPSO on Special Access Programs (SAP)
  • Active US Top Secret security clearance
  • Recent, extensive experience supporting SAP programs
  • Experience engaging with USG SAP agencies
  • Experience interpreting and applying SAP policy
  • Experience writing local or other policy
  • Experience communicating with senior government or industry leaders on matters of national security
  • Either active SAP access or current SAP eligibility under DOW auspice
  • U.S. Citizenship Required for program access
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements
  • Must be a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 (U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)

Responsibilities

  • Executes Internal Security Controls through performance of compliance assessment reviews and self-inspections to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements
  • Identifies deficiencies, develops and implements corrective action
  • Conducts administrative inquiries on personnel, processes and situations in accordance with established operating procedures to determine level and scope of non-compliance with government and company regulations/requirements
  • Protects government, intellectual, third party and company information from unauthorized disclosures
  • Develops, implements and administers security education, procedures and physical controls to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements on large and/or highly complex programs
  • Contributes to enterprise Integrated Product Team (IPT) and participates in the review cycle and decision-making process for enterprise export compliance, procedures (PROs), Business Process Instructions (BPI's) and Desktop Instructions (DI's)
  • Provides innovation and creativity into security awareness training and education program (briefings, bulletins and visual reminders) to educate, refresh, and motivate personnel to protect people, property and information
