Focus on solving complex problems, while making timely, but thoughtful decisions to resolve client issues. Analyze medical, financial, and other claim documents. Have opportunities to meet with our customers in person. Provide accurate claims decisions in a time sensitive and fast- paced environment, while adhering to all state and department of insurance regulations. Be a leader Work across business divisions including both internal and external partners. Be a resource for colleagues with less experience. Work on department innovations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years insurance claim handling experience (Individual Disability Claims).
  • A college or university degree, or high school diploma with extensive prior relevant work experience
  • Demonstrated understanding of claim management techniques and critical thinking requiring analysis and/or investigation.
  • Experience providing outstanding customer service.
  • Attention to detail with demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience prioritizing competing priorities with deadlines.
  • Negotiating skills, solution strategies and ability to apply appropriate resources.
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, without the need for employer sponsorship.
