About The Position

UpGuard is launching a brand-new Professional Services (PS) function and is seeking a foundational hire to help write the playbook for this new team. This role will lead complex enterprise deployments while simultaneously working with leadership to build standard operating procedures that will scale a global team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others, fixing problems, and building long-lasting relationships with new customers, along with a commercial mindset to identify opportunities for account expansion and product adoption.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in a B2B SaaS implementation, solutions architecture, or professional services role.
  • Proven track record of managing concurrent, complex enterprise deployments.
  • Experience consulting with large-scale organizations (5,000+ employees) is required.
  • The "Builder" Mindset: Calm under ambiguity, desire to leave things better than found, thrives in an evolving playbook environment.
  • Experience with PSA tools (Rocketlane, Certinia, Productive etc).
  • Exceptional ability to hold your own with executive stakeholders, push back when necessary, and guide customers toward best practices.
  • Proven ability to read API documentation, design data mappings, and troubleshoot integrations independently.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in cybersecurity, GRC, or Third-Party Risk Management.
  • Expertise in GRC is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Design and document repeatable implementation methodologies, project plans, and SOPs based on front-line experiences.
  • Own complex deployments end-to-end, managing client expectations, preventing scope creep, and leading User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Develop deep expertise in UpGuard's capabilities, designing and troubleshooting complex integrations leveraging REST APIs, webhooks, and third-party systems.
  • Translate ambiguous client needs into actionable technical specifications and redesign legacy vendor risk workflows to leverage UpGuard's automation.
  • Build trust with technical audiences and executive sponsors, acting as the connective tissue between PS, Sales, and Product to feed field insights back into the roadmap.
