About The Position

The Senior HVAC Technician will diagnose, repair, install, and maintain commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems while providing outstanding customer service. This role requires a highly skilled technician capable of working independently, troubleshooting complex equipment, and mentoring less experienced technicians when needed. We specialize in commercial HVAC, refrigeration, kitchen equipment, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, overhead doors, and facility maintenance for restaurants, retail stores, banks, healthcare facilities, and other commercial clients across multiple states.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • EPA Universal Certification required.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Must pass a background screening.

  • Lift and carry 50–75 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
  • Work on rooftops, ladders, and in confined spaces.
  • Stand, bend, kneel, and climb throughout the workday.
  • Travel daily within the New Roads, Louisiana service area.
  • Work safely around electrical systems and high-temperature equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of commercial HVAC service experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of refrigeration cycles, electrical troubleshooting, airflow, controls, and gas heating systems.
  • NATE certification or equivalent is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on rooftop units, split systems, package units, exhaust systems, and related equipment.
  • Install, replace, and commission HVAC equipment.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical control systems.
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Complete service documentation accurately and promptly.
  • Communicate professionally with customers and explain repair recommendations.
  • Maintain company vehicle, tools, and inventory.
  • Follow all OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
  • Provide leadership and technical guidance to junior technicians as needed.
