About The Position

Perform routine and unscheduled maintenance and repair of industrial mechanical systems including air cooled chillers, centrifugal chillers, pumps, cooling towers, air handler units, valves, and fan coil units. Diagnose and repair electronic, mechanical, and electrical components. Obtain replacement parts, calibrate systems, and explain issues and solutions to customers. Oversee installation and operation of mechanical systems. Lead training development for the chiller/HVAC maintenance business. Availability for some nights or weekends on a rotating basis for emergency service is required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record
• Current HVAC certification
• OSHA 10 Training
• Previous experience of 5+ years in chiller/HVAC maintenance, mechanical engineering, or other related fields.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, and unscheduled, maintenance and repair of industrial mechanical systems including air cooled chillers, centrifugal chillers, pumps, cooling towers, air handler units, valves, fan coil units, variable air volume systems, etc.
• Diagnose and repair of machine and equipment defects including electronic, mechanical, and electrical components related to these systems.
• Obtain any replacement parts, calibrate system to manufacturer’s recommendations, and explain fully to customer what the issue is and what is needed to correct.
• Oversee installation and operation of various mechanical systems.
• Lead role in defining and developing the training, materials, and tools needed to support our chiller/HVAC maintenance business.
• Be available to work some nights or weekends, on a rotating basis, to service emergency needs of our customers.
