About The Position

The Senior Hunger Program Specialist provides accurate and timely customer service and administrative support for the Senior Box program called the Commodities and Supplemental Food Program (CSFP), helping ensure eligible older adults receive consistent food assistance. Key responsibilities include responding to participant questions by phone, text, and email; processing applications and renewals in line with federal guidelines; entering and maintaining CSFP data across tracking tools; producing monthly participation statistics in required formats; and supporting trend review to improve service and delivery outcomes.

Requirements

• High school diploma
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
• Strong customer service, communication, and attention to detail
• Proficiency with MS Office, especially spreadsheets

Nice To Haves

• Two years of college/technical degree
• Ability to speak Spanish

Responsibilities

• Responding to participant questions by phone, text, and email
• Processing applications and renewals in line with federal guidelines
• Entering and maintaining CSFP data across tracking tools
• Producing monthly participation statistics in required formats
• Supporting trend review to improve service and delivery outcomes
• Coordinating details for the onsite third-party monthly delivery—confirming counts, preparing check-in materials, and keeping documentation ready for reporting
• Assisting with prep, set-up, and smooth flow on-site during Amazon Flex delivery week, troubleshooting customer questions as they arise
• Reconciling notes, organizing follow-ups, and ensuring the month’s participation information is clean and ready for submission
