About The Position

This is a professional position within the HIV Patient Care and Treatment Access Program, requiring the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. The position is responsible for monitoring and providing technical assistance for the State Housing Opportunities for Persons With AIDS (HOPWA) Program. Travel is required. The role assists with the development and review of HOPWA contracts, the planning and development of HOPWA procurements, the review of project sponsor budgets, the completion of reports, and the facilitation of grant reporting. It also includes conducting annual project sponsor monitoring visits to assess the operational implementation of the program. Additionally, the position supports capacity building for project sponsors and field staff by providing guidance on current Housing and Urban Development requirements and state policy procedures and ensuring project sponsor compliance. The incumbent will also assist with HOPWA Needs Assessment reporting and coordinates findings with the Quality Coordinator, State HOPWA Coordinator, and the HIV Patient Care and Treatment Access Program Director.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of MS based databases
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel and Word
  • Knowledge of social, economic, rehabilitation or health care objectives
  • Knowledge of methods of compiling, organizing and analyzing data
  • Ability to develop manuals, policies, procedures, standards and rules
  • Ability to develop methods for monitoring and evaluating quality of service and compliance with rules, policies and statutes review.
  • Ability to evaluate plans and programs to identify improvements and adjustments needed to ensure program effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Ability to establish and maintain liaison with other agencies.
  • Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Experience with organizing and analyzing data.
  • This position requires daily in-office or field work.
