About The Position

This role manages the full employee lifecycle, including benefits, performance processes, HR compliance, and related employee support. The Senior Human Resources Specialist will build and sustain positive relationships with employees and managers while promoting a respectful, collaborative workplace. They will advise employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, and employee relations matters. This role also involves maintaining confidential employee records and HR documentation, coordinating performance reviews and goal-setting, creating reports for various HR metrics, administering employee benefits, managing leaves of absence, supporting HRIS functionality, maintaining HR policies and procedures, administering HR programs like tuition reimbursement and professional certifications, maintaining the compensation program, and partnering with the Recruiter and HR Director for onboarding and offboarding. Additionally, the role serves as a resource for employee questions, grievances, conflict resolution, and performance management, and stays current on HR trends and best practices. Assisting with company events and employee recognition initiatives is also part of the role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or applicable human resources certifications (PHR, SHRM, etc.) or combination of equivalent education and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in human resources, encompassing benefits, employee relations, and HR compliance.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
  • Active listener and ability to build internal relationships.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the full employee lifecycle, including benefits, performance processes, HR compliance, and related employee support.
  • Builds and sustains positive relationships with employees and managers while promoting a respectful, collaborative workplace.
  • Advises employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, and employee relations matters.
  • Maintains confidential employee records and HR documentation, ensuring accurate HRIS data.
  • Coordinates annual and mid-year performance reviews and the goal-setting process.
  • Creates reports and gathers data for compensation administration, performance, benefits, and general HR metrics.
  • Administers employee benefits, including renewals, open enrollment, qualifying events, and employee inquiries.
  • Manages leaves of absence by tracking leave activity, coordinating returns to work, and partnering with managers to support compliance and a positive employee experience.
  • Prepares monthly and quarterly HR metrics reports and responds to related inquiries.
  • Supports HRIS functionality, data security, and system guidance for managers and employees.
  • Maintains HR policies and procedures that reflect best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Administers HR programs, including tuition reimbursement, professional certifications, and training and development.
  • Maintains the compensation program and conducts annual benchmark reviews.
  • Partners with the Recruiter and HR Director to support employee onboarding and offboarding.
  • Serves as a resource for employee questions, grievances, conflict resolution, and performance management.
  • Stays current on trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in HR, talent management, and employment law.
  • Assists with company events and employee recognition initiatives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
