About The Position

Ellsworth Adhesives, a global, industry-leading distributor of specialty chemicals and equipment and adhesive manufacturer, is seeking a Sr Human Resources Manager for its corporate headquarters in Germantown, WI. This is an on-site/hybrid role. The position offers the opportunity to lead a team of HR Generalists and shape HR policy within a global organization. Ellsworth Corporation is a family-run company with over 50 years of continuous growth, specializing in adhesives for various industries including cell phone, medical device, space/aerospace, and electric vehicles.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in a Human Resources-related function.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing HR professionals.
  • Experience leading employee relations investigations and compliance activities.
  • Experience driving process improvement, standardization, and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
  • Strong knowledge of employee relations, employment law, and HR compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop HR professionals in a multi-site environment.
  • Strong process improvement, project management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to establish operational discipline and drive consistency across business units.
  • Effective investigative, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to influence leaders at all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data and leverage insights to improve business outcomes.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to prioritize competing demands and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

Nice To Haves

  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Leads, coaches, develops, and manages a team of HR Generalists to ensure consistent, high-quality execution of core HR processes and services across assigned divisions.
  • Assigns and balances HR workload, establishes priorities, and monitors performance to ensure timely and effective delivery of employee and manager support.
  • Owns the development, maintenance, interpretation, and application of HR policies, procedures, practices, employment guidelines, and related process documentation to ensure consistency, compliance, and operational effectiveness throughout the organization.
  • Serves as the escalation point for complex employee relations matters, conducting risk assessments and recommending appropriate resolutions aligned with company values and legal requirements.
  • Oversees employee relations investigations to ensure thorough documentation, objective fact-finding, and consistent outcomes.
  • Monitors execution of compliance-related HR activities, partnering with HR Centers of Excellence and business leaders to ensure adherence to employment laws, regulatory requirements, internal controls, and company policies.
  • Identifies opportunities to standardize, simplify, and improve HR policies, processes, workflows, tools, and documentation; leads the annual review and update cycle to ensure policies and processes remain current, compliant, and aligned with business needs while engaging appropriate stakeholders.
  • Partners with Field HR, HR Centers of Excellence and business leaders to ensure consistent implementation of HR programs, practices, and organizational initiatives.
