About The Position

The Senior HR Generalist will act as a trusted advisor and will lead the day-to-day human resources functions of assigned agencies within a region. This role balances compliance and operational excellence with strong relationship-building and a focus on culture. This role will administer HR policies and procedures while also serving as a visible, hands-on resource across the organization building connections up and down, supporting employee engagement initiatives, and helping translate core values into daily behaviors. This position will own and coordinate day-to-day HR operations at the local level, ensuring high-quality execution across the employee lifecycle, enabling teams to achieve their goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field, or commensurate experience required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of HR experience.
  • Healthcare industry knowledge required; home healthcare preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to cultivate and maintain internal and external relationships in an ambiguous and fast paced environment while maintaining focus on execution and results.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS system (Workday).
  • Must be able to extract and understand information from multiple segregated data sites.
  • Detail focused and ability to set appropriate priorities amongst multiple competing demands.
  • The ability to support an environment that has multiple shifts and significant staffing ramps to support growth in current, and future, geographic locations.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and safe driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Workday and HCHB strongly preferred.
  • Excellent writing skills as well as superb interpersonal and verbal communication skills; a master at presenting information, ideas, and employment information is critical.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with assigned agencies to execute people strategies that align with their business objectives.
  • Serve as local subject matter expert and hands on HR contact for assigned agencies; manage and execute the delivery of numerous HR services covering all aspects of the employee lifecycle from recruitment to exit such as: staffing, employment administration, employee relations, leave administration, training, and employee engagement.
  • Act as a culture carrier for the organization by building strong relationships across teams, supporting employee engagement initiatives, and helping organize internal events, recognition efforts, and meaningful employee touchpoints.
  • Ensures timely, accurate submission of information within the organization’s HRIS system.
  • Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings and terminations; recommend disciplinary action ensuring fairness and consistency.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Ensures confidentiality, timeliness, and integrity of employee records.
  • Partner with Service Center HR leaders to drive change management efforts related to technology implementations, process changes, organizational restructuring, and multi-site people initiatives.
  • Manage offboarding processes.
  • Determine escalation of issues to HR Resource and/or Legal Resource to obtain involvement necessary to influence/impact/resolve complex employment or compliance matters.
  • Perform Family and Medical Leave administration to include responding to all requests for leave, monitoring status of employees on leave, and communicating conclusion of leave.
  • Support Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accommodation requests using established workflows, templates, and interactive process guidelines.
  • Contribute insights that help shape HR strategy and operational effectiveness at the agency level.
  • Follow structured Human Resource processes and internal workflows to drive operational excellence.
  • Guide managers through employee relations matters, ensuring compliance, fairness, and consistency.
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to attract and select top talent.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and all other policies, procedures, and standards of care.
  • Perform other appropriate tasks and special projects as assigned.
