This position assists and supports management and the leadership team with handling and resolving Human Resources issues. The role involves assisting employees with internal and external transfer requests and procedures, monitoring and assisting managers/supervisors with hiring processes and issues, and coordinating various pre-employment checks such as drug screens, reference checks, background checks, motor vehicle checks, and social security number verification. The Senior Human Resources Generalist will maintain applicant flow, drug screen, orientation, and transfer request logs, and create and maintain new hire and personnel files, entering them into Human Resources Information Systems. This role also assists with new employee orientation and monitors all hiring and recruitment processes for compliance with local, state, and federal laws and company policies. Ensuring accurate maintenance of employee records and files, supporting payroll record processing, and informing Human Resources management of employee relations issues are key responsibilities. The position requires creating and maintaining filing systems, generating HR data reports, answering phone calls, recording messages, and typing office correspondence. The Senior Human Resources Generalist will serve as an HR subject matter expert, participate on project teams, and train new hires on HR processes, programs, policies, and information systems. Additionally, the role requires adherence to all company policies and procedures, maintaining a clean and professional appearance, and upholding confidentiality of proprietary information. Effective communication, accurate documentation, and positive working relationships are essential. The role involves moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance, and performing other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
