About The Position

Atkore is seeking a business-minded, hands-on HR professional who can execute projects, make an impact, and drive change. The Senior HR Generalist will report to the Human Resources Manager and will be responsible for leading and executing talent acquisition/staffing, employee relations, and providing coaching and counseling to the management team to maximize associate contributions. This role involves working within a small team and leading or co-leading various projects related to supervisor skills training, manpower analysis, employment, recognition, and employee investigations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field.
  • Five to seven years of relevant experience.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent computer skills with ability to analyze information and create reports.
  • Ability to objectively coach employees and management through complex, difficult, and emotional issues.
  • Flexibility to come in early or occasionally work off shift hours to provide support to 2nd and 3rd shift or the weekend shift (if applicable) as needed.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage talent acquisition process for salaried and production associates, including recruiting, screening, and interviewing applicants.
  • Create and update job descriptions as needed.
  • Train hiring managers on Atkore's Recruitment and Selection process.
  • Serve as a business partner focusing on brokering solutions.
  • Lead Human Resources activities for a four-shift manufacturing operation.
  • Implement proactive approaches for employee hiring, selection, and compensation in support of company goals and strategic objectives.
  • Focus on creating a positive associate relations environment and culture.
  • Manage manpower planning and job movement related activities, including processing employee data changes and interfacing with payroll.
  • Investigate and help resolve Employee Relations issues and complaints, including Compliance Hotline investigations.
  • Collaborate with other HR functional areas to deliver quality support to client groups.
  • Become the subject matter expert on all Atkore HR standard work.
  • Oversee the Atkore Compliance Action Plans across 9 sites in the United States.
