About The Position

The Senior Human Resource Generalist oversees the areas of personnel, employment law, payroll, benefits and other related duties in the daily administration of the human resources department. Ensures equitable and fair treatment for all team members, provides quality customer service in staffing, compensation, employee relations, and everything related to employment; serves as the advocate for management and employees by fielding questions, interpreting, and administering policies and helping resolve work-related problems. The person in this position must possess a high degree of integrity, a strong work ethic, a high level of attention to detail, be well organized, and have the ability to maintain confidentiality and work with minimal supervision. Additionally, he/she must be a forward-thinker, be able to multi-task and handle deadlines and stressful situations in a calm, orderly and accurate manner, and have good communication skills in order to deal effectively and courteously. In this position you will support the commercial team across the enterprise.

  • Bachelor degree in Human Resources / Labor relations or equivalent experience
  • Employment law knowledge

Nice To Haves

  • PHR or SPHR certification; preferred.
  • Dayfroce experience; preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain compliance, advise managers, and communicate to employees company policies, procedures and practices. Compliance with federal, state, local and company requirements.
  • Plan and conduct all activities surrounding the entire team member life cycle from talent acquisition to onboarding, training and development, performance, coaching, exits, and all reporting associated with these steps for assigned segment group.
  • Promote, enroll, and assist employees with all group benefit programs.
  • Administer time keeping system and either perform payroll, back-up payroll, or compile hours and send to Corporate for payroll processing for identified teams.
  • Conduct and participate in employee engagement, and support culture initiatives.
  • Works closely with the selected members of the Leadership Team, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
  • Works closely with Leadership and employees to improve employee engagement, build morale and increase productivity and retention.
  • Regularly connect with employees, promotes HR programs, policies and represents Myers Values.
  • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HRIS team, proposes solutions to close performance gaps. Provide ad hoc or regular reports to Leaders, monitor key performance indicators to forecast changes.
