About The Position

Ocean Capital Holdings Limited is seeking a Senior Human Resources Generalist to support specific HR initiatives and operational requirements. This role reports to the Director of Human Resources and will be responsible for a wide range of HR activities, including day-to-day HR operations, special projects, and tasks. The successful candidate will provide direction, service, support, and advice to senior leadership, managers, and employees, while proactively promoting human resources best practices, policies, and procedures. Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in human resources, business administration, or related discipline.
  • Certified Professional Human Resources (CPHR) Designation completed or in progress.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources.
  • Experience working in a corporate environment.
  • Expert knowledge of MS office and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Sound research and business analytic skills.
  • Ability to prioritize deliverables and work independently or within a team.
  • Understands and appreciates the need for confidentiality.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with an HRIS system would be considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Be part of the HR team key in preparing the organization for the future by participating in the implementation of strategic people initiatives including succession planning, leadership development, and talent management.
  • Partner with senior leadership on complex initiatives, including succession planning, organizational plans, and philosophy, setting the stage for strategic growth.
  • Partner with the business to provide key insights and actions supported by people measures and analytics. Critically analyze the impact of HR practices for the business and how to measure success.
  • Manage a unique and positive Candidate experience in the recruitment process for select positions while building a pipeline for talent.
  • Create an engaging employee experience by preparing and executing an onboarding and orientation to the company in partnership with the business.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to managers and employees in day-to-day circumstances that require HR leadership.
