About The Position

The Senior Human Resources Generalist serves as a key resource to employees across Mint Cannabis, providing advanced support in employee relations, compliance, benefits, and HRIS management. This role manages complex cases, ensures regulatory alignment across multiple states, and helps drive HR initiatives that strengthen culture and operational effectiveness. The Senior HR Generalist mentors peers, leads projects, and supports HR leadership in developing scalable practices for a rapidly growing, highly regulated industry.

Requirements

  • 4–6 years of progressive HR or recruiting experience, with strong expertise in talent acquisition, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Experience hiring in multi-state environments; cannabis industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of HR compliance, hiring best practices, and documentation requirements.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to partner with leaders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in HRIS or ATS systems; iSolved and JazzHR experience highly preferred.
  • Skilled with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace tools.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, high-volume hiring environment.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Facility Agent Card (or equivalent) as required by Arizona state cannabis regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and lead full-cycle recruiting across retail, corporate, and production roles.
  • Manage high-volume applicant flow, conduct screening interviews, and coordinate hiring processes to ensure an efficient candidate experience.
  • Lead onboarding processes, including new-hire paperwork, I-9 verification, orientation planning, and HRIS setup.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for critical and frequently hired roles across multiple states.
  • Ensure compliance with hiring laws, cannabis regulations, and internal policies throughout the recruitment and onboarding process.
  • Oversee HRIS data entry and accuracy related to new hires, transfers, promotions, and terminations.
  • Partner with hiring leaders on workforce planning, staffing forecasts, and labor reporting needs.
  • Collaborate with marketing and operations to enhance employer branding, job postings, and recruitment campaigns.
  • Support engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and culture-building projects focused on employee experience.
  • Assist with employee relations, benefits questions, and HR operations as needed.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and ensure all HR practices align with federal, state, local, and cannabis industry regulations.
