Kane’s Furniture is seeking a driven and strategic HR professional to lead talent acquisition while serving as a trusted partner to business leaders. This role blends hands-on recruiting leadership with core HR generalist responsibilities, offering the opportunity to directly impact hiring outcomes, employee experience, and organizational growth. Requirements

  • 5+ years of HR experience
  • Experience supporting high-volume or operational environments preferred
  • Experience with formal documentation and writing
  • Strong business partnership and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to influence hiring managers and drive hiring decisions
  • Solid understanding of employment law and HR best practices
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • A collaborative, team-first mindset with a strong commitment to service and cultural alignment
  • Someone who values being part of a close-knit team and contributes positively to that environment
  • Strong MS Office skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead full-cycle recruiting for assigned business units (Distribution Centers & SSC)
  • Build talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs
  • Partner with hiring managers weekly to drive hiring progress and workforce planning
  • Conduct position intake/strategy meetings and align on candidate profiles
  • Manage hiring events and community recruiting initiatives
  • Track recruiting metrics and continuously improve hiring outcomes
  • Screen and interview candidates; lead primary interviews for key roles
  • Train and coach hiring managers on effective interviewing and selection practices
  • Ensure a consistent, high-quality candidate experience that reflects Kane’s values and culture
  • Support leaders with workforce planning and organizational needs
  • Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Assist with onboarding to ensure successful new hire integration into both the role and the team culture
  • Assist with employee relations matters and workplace concerns
  • Conduct exit interviews and provide actionable insights and trends
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies
  • Help foster a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment
  • Track hiring, turnover, and recruiting activity
  • Manage vendor relationships (job boards, sourcing tools, etc.)
  • Support HR processes including promotions, terminations, and reporting
  • Partner with schools, community organizations, and workforce programs
  • Represent Kane’s at recruiting events and networking opportunities
  • Act as a brand ambassador, promoting Kane’s culture and values in the community
