About The Position

The HR Generalist will be responsible for overseeing the Human Resources function for the Spanish Springs, Nevada location of New Deantronics. This role is expected to serve as a trusted partner and coach to managers, providing practical guidance on people-related matters while supporting both day-to-day HR operations and strategic initiatives. The position requires working knowledge across recruiting, onboarding, employee file management, benefits administration, employee relations, and employee engagement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree. Major in Business Administration or Human Resources, preferred.
  • 3 years’ previous HR experience, required.
  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SPHR certification, preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of HR practices and procedures, including recruiting, onboarding, employee file management, benefits administration, employee relations, and employee engagement.
  • Must demonstrate a high level of confidentiality, professionalism, and HR knowledge.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, local, and state laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with HRIS systems and most Microsoft office programs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and in a calm and pleasant manner.
  • High level of organization and attention to detail.
  • Strong management, delegation and leadership skills and speaking/presentation abilities with a high level of organization.
  • Effective critical thinking and problem-solving skills and ability to share skills and knowledge with others.
  • Ability to read and write checklists, reports, and correspondence. Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, memos, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with and coach managers on employee relations, performance management, engagement, retention, disciplinary actions, separations, and other people-related matters.
  • Manage recruiting and onboarding activities, including screening, interviewing, hiring coordination, onboarding paperwork, and support for new employee integration.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, including personnel files, status changes, corrective action documentation, termination paperwork, and other required HR documentation.
  • Administer HR programs and processes, including benefits administration, leave, compensation support, performance and talent management, training and development, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate HR policies, procedures, handbook updates, and related employee communications.
  • Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and maintain current knowledge of HR trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and employment law updates.
  • Provide professional, customer-focused service to employees, managers, and job applicants through clear, timely, and helpful communication.
  • Participate in business planning and forecasting by providing HR insight, workforce information, and people-related recommendations.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, professional work environment.
  • Perform related duties as required or directed by the CEO.
