About The Position

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Human Resources Generalist to join our team in Middleton, Wisconsin. This is a highly visible, hands-on HR role for someone who enjoys being close to the business, building trusted relationships with employees and leaders, and turning HR strategy into meaningful action. As the onsite HR presence in Middleton, you’ll support employees and leaders across manufacturing, engineering, quality, and corporate functions in the US. You’ll serve as a trusted advisor across employee relations, talent and performance management, compliance, employee engagement, workforce planning, and day-to-day HR operations. This is a fully in-person position based in Middleton, WI.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 6 years of progressive Human Resources experience.
  • Demonstrated experience handling employee relations investigations and performance management matters.
  • Experience advising leaders and influencing business decisions.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems (Dayforce HIGHLY Preferred) and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to build effective relationships and establish credibility at all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated judgment, discretion, and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Strong interpersonal, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.

Nice To Haves

  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification is preferred.
  • Multi-state employment law experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary HR contact for employees and managers in the United States.
  • Partner with leaders to address employee relations issues, performance concerns, investigations, corrective actions, and conflict resolution.
  • Coach and guide managers on employee performance, attendance, conduct, and workplace issues.
  • Support organizational change initiatives and workforce transitions.
  • Escalate complex employee relations matters as appropriate.
  • Partner with leaders on workforce planning, talent reviews, succession planning, and organizational development.
  • Support performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development planning.
  • Identify development opportunities and collaborate on employee growth initiatives.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to support recruitment activities.
  • Participate in interviews and candidate assessments as needed.
  • Coordinate and facilitate on-boarding activities and new hire orientation.
  • Ensure a positive on-boarding experience and successful employee integration.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR data within HR systems.
  • Process employee lifecycle transactions, including hires, transfers, promotions, leaves of absence, and terminations.
  • Partner with HRIS, Payroll, and Benefits teams to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee information.
  • Support annual HR cycles, including merit planning, bonuses, goal setting, and performance review processes.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations.
  • Support workplace investigations and appropriately document findings.
  • Assist with policy interpretation and application.
  • Monitor completion of required training and compliance programs.
  • Support employee engagement surveys and action-planning efforts.
  • Drive employee engagement and culture initiatives.
  • Coordinate employee recognition and site engagement activities.
  • Partner with site leadership to strengthen culture, communication, and the overall employee experience.
  • Provide guidance to employees and managers regarding leaves of absence, accommodations, and company benefits.
  • Partner with Benefits and external vendors to support leave management processes.
  • Help employees navigate HR programs, policies, resources, and available support.
  • Stay current on and follow all Quality System procedures related to this role that can affect the quality of products or services provided to our customers.
