About The Position

The Senior HRIS Analyst is a senior-level functional expert responsible for the strategic configuration, optimization, governance, and continuous improvement of the organization's Human Resources Information System (HRIS). This role serves as a trusted advisor to HR leadership, leads complex initiatives, provides solution design expertise, and drives enterprise-wide HR technology improvements. The Senior HRIS Analyst partners closely with Payroll, HR, IT, business leaders, and vendors to ensure HR systems effectively support organizational objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business, or related field required
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of HRIS, business systems, or HR technology experience.
  • Hands-on configuration experience in: Workday Payroll
  • Workday Time Tracking
  • Advanced experience with enterprise HR systems, preferably Workday.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex configurations, projects, and system enhancements.
  • Strong analytical, consulting, project management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience developing complex reports, dashboards, and data-driven recommendations.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced Workday functional configuration experience, including business processes, security, reporting, and organizational structures preferred
  • Experience leading testing, releases, and change management activities preferred
  • Knowledge of integrations, middleware, and HR technology ecosystems preferred
  • Experience mentoring analysts or leading functional workstream preferred
  • Healthcare or large-enterprise HRIS experience preferred
  • Workday Pro certifications or equivalent HR technology certifications preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develops, implements, updates and maintains the Workday Payroll and Time Tracking Technology and System.
  • Serve as the functional and technical lead for complex system enhancements and organizational initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain system standards, documentation, and governance practices.
  • Evaluate and recommend solutions that align with organizational goals and industry best practices.
  • Provide oversight for system health, performance, and configuration integrity.
  • Lead discovery sessions and consult with business leaders to understand strategic needs.
  • Translate complex business requirements into scalable system solutions.
  • Design and recommend process improvements that enhance efficiency, compliance, and user experience.
  • Serve as the primary HRIS consultant to Payroll and HR leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Influence decision-making by providing system expertise and data-driven recommendations.
  • Lead testing strategy, execution planning, and change deployment activities.
  • Evaluate system releases and determine organizational impact.
  • Develop testing standards and ensure quality assurance processes are followed.
  • Coordinate enterprise-wide user acceptance testing and deployment readiness activities.
  • Manage risk associated with system changes and enhancements.
  • Design and develop complex reports, dashboards, and workforce analytics solutions.
  • Lead initiatives to improve data quality, governance, and reporting standards.
  • Establish data validation and audit processes to ensure integrity and compliance.
  • Partner with leadership to support strategic workforce planning and analytics needs.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for HR data and reporting capabilities.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to Payroll, HR, business, and executive stakeholders.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives involving Payroll, HR systems, data, and integrations.
  • Build strong partnerships with IT, vendors, and operational leaders.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to Payroll and other team members.
  • Facilitate stakeholder discussions, prioritization efforts, and solution reviews.
  • Drive HR technology roadmap initiatives and system optimization efforts.
  • Research emerging HR technologies and recommend innovative solutions.
  • Lead governance, prioritization, and change control processes.
  • Identify opportunities to automate processes and leverage system capabilities.
  • Champion continuous improvement and operational excellence across HR technology functions.
