About The Position

Under the direction of the Director of Human Resources, the Senior Human Resources Manager is responsible for overseeing recruitment, talent acquisition, employee relations and onboarding activities to support organizational staffing goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Five (3) years of progressively responsible Human Resources experience.
  • Experience managing union environments perferred.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, recruitment practices, and onboarding processes.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems, HRIS platforms, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to meet workforce needs.
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, and offer processes.
  • Collaborate with department managers to identify staffing needs and position requirements.
  • Build candidate pipelines and maintain relationships with educational institutions, professional organizations, and community partners.
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable employment laws and equal employment opportunity requirements.
  • Coordinate and manage all onboarding activities for new employees.
  • Facilitate new hire orientation and ensure completion of required employment documentation.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for new employees during their transition into the organization.
  • Assist the Director of Human Resources in implementing HR programs, policies, and initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate employee records within the HRIS and personnel files.
  • Support employee engagement, retention, and workforce planning efforts.
  • Assist with policy interpretation and employee relations matters as assigned.
  • Serve as the property's primary day-to-day union contact.
  • Interpret and administer the CBA, manage grievances and prepare for grievance meetings, mediations and arbitrations.
  • Maintain grievance logs and deadlines; partner with Director of HR on escalated labor matters.
  • Ensure leaders understand seniority, scheduling, classifications, recall, job posting/bidding, wages, benefits and other contractual requirements.
  • Maintain a productive working relationship with union representatives and stewards.
