About The Position

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior HR Generalist to join a growing manufacturing organization supporting two production facilities in Brampton. This is a 1 year contract with potential to become permanent, offering the opportunity to step into a highly visible HR leadership role within operations. This position plays a critical role supporting plant leadership, driving HR initiatives, and partnering closely with operations leaders to ensure the business runs smoothly across a 24-hour, three-shift manufacturing environment. Requirements

  • Approximately 8–12 years of progressive HR experience
  • Strong experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Experience supporting multi-shift operations
  • ADP Workforce Now experience is required
  • Strong understanding of Timecards and shift schedules
  • Strong understanding of Payroll related HR processes
  • Strong understanding of HR reporting and workforce metrics
  • Strong problem-solving ability and business acumen
  • Comfortable working directly with frontline supervisors and hourly employees
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational HR work
  • Confident addressing employee relations issues and investigations

Nice To Haves

  • CHRP designation is an asset, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary HR partner to plant leadership and supervisors
  • Provide guidance on employee relations, investigations, discipline, and terminations
  • Support operational leaders with workforce planning and people strategies
  • Help drive HR initiatives tied to safety, engagement, and operational KPIs
  • Manage high-volume recruitment based on operational needs (typically 5–20 hires at a time)
  • Lead onboarding and orientation for new employees
  • Partner with supervisors to ensure strong hiring and retention practices
  • Manage employee data and HR processes within ADP Workforce Now
  • Process payroll-related changes including position updates, schedule changes, and employee information updates
  • Maintain accurate documentation and communicate updates to payroll
  • Serve as a trusted HR advisor across all shifts
  • Conduct investigations and manage employee relations matters
  • Maintain strong visibility on the production floor and build relationships with employees and supervisors
  • Track and report on key workforce metrics including: Turnover, Absenteeism, Overtime
  • Contribute to HR KPI reporting alongside other HR leaders
  • Work closely with the Health & Safety team
  • Act as an advocate for safe work practices across the operation
