About The Position

Newsmax is seeking a Senior HR Generalist to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial in supporting our fast-paced, energetic, and ever-changing culture. The Senior HR Generalist will act as a trusted advisor, partner in talent acquisition, manage onboarding, support payroll, facilitate training, assist with compensation and benefits, ensure HR compliance, and contribute to culture enhancement. This position requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to drive results in a demanding environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and HR technology, with experience in the media industry being a plus. This is an onsite role, requiring presence in the office five days a week.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of progressive HR experience.
  • Experience with UltiPro/UKG preferred, knowledge of HRIS.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation, and leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience using HR technology to enhance employee experience.
  • Positive, optimistic, and solutions-orientated attitude.
  • Needs to be onsite 5 days per week.
  • Strong critical thinking skills.
  • Integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, or related field preferred.
  • Master's degree a plus.
  • Experience working in the media industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to management and employees, providing guidance and support on HR-related matters, conflict resolution, and employee relations issues.
  • Partner in the recruitment and selection process, including sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and managing the hiring process to attract and retain top talent.
  • Welcome new hires in the office through onboarding and orientation.
  • Support in bi-weekly full-cycle payroll process.
  • Identify training needs, help develop training programs, and facilitate learning opportunities to enhance employee skills and capabilities.
  • Assist with the understanding and communication of compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitive and equitable pay structures, and administering employee benefits packages effectively.
  • Stay up to date with employment laws and regulations, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws and implementing appropriate policies and procedures.
  • Maintain organizational records and files.
  • Continue to build the overall Newsmax culture which is fast paced, energetic, and ever changing.
  • Analyze HR metrics to track key performance indicators, identify trends, and help make data-driven decisions to improve HR processes and initiatives.
