King County’s Department of Information Technology (KCIT) is seeking two dynamic, customer-focused Senior HR Analysts (Senior Talent Acquisition Specialists) to join our collaborative HR team. Requirements

  • Knowledge of human resources principles, practices, legal environment and trends, specifically focused on recruitment and selection.
  • Knowledge of human resources reporting and recordkeeping requirements.
  • Knowledge of fair employment practices, laws, and regulations; nondiscrimination; Americans with Disabilities Act; civil rights laws; and legislation.
  • Knowledge of principles, practices and knowledge related to public sector recruitment and selection.
  • Skill in NEOGOV's Insight module or other HRIS and/or ATS systems as used in the recruitment and selection process.
  • Skill in navigating and utilizing PeopleSoft HCM to support recruitment and HR processes.
  • Skill in successful management of full life cycle recruitment projects to include initial consultation with hiring manager or designee, development of recruitment materials, documentation of recruitment timeline and coordination of candidate experience.
  • Skill in research, analysis, and independent thinking.
  • Skill in consultation on a range of recruitment issues.
  • Exceptional customer service, verbal and written communication.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Human Resources, or a related field AND Five years of increasingly responsible professional-level talent acquisition experience in a public sector role that includes: Independently conducting multi phased full-cycle recruitment/selection processes across a broad spectrum of disciplines
  • Proficiency with NEOGOV Insight and the ability to conduct system data analysis and reconciliation.
  • OR any equivalent combination of education and experience that clearly demonstrates the ability to perform all the essential duties of the position.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and perform full-cycle recruitments for a wide range of roles, including complex and technical positions, in partnership with hiring managers.
  • Manage the candidate relationship through the complete recruiting lifecycle.
  • Champion and maintain consistent adherence to county recruitment workflows, tools, and established practices designed to attract diverse candidate pools and remove barriers to employment.
  • Promote King County as an Employer of Choice through social media and other recruitment strategies.
  • Collaborate with HR colleagues to refine and continuously enhance KCIT talent acquisition best practices.
  • Efficient use and maintenance information in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) NEOGOV.
  • Effectively use Microsoft Office tools, including MS Teams, Dynamics, SharePoint, and other internet-based tools in your daily work.
  • Exercise independent judgment and make decisions on complex recruitment scenarios, applying advanced knowledge of employment rules, policies, practices, and laws.
  • Collect and analyze recruitment data to identify issues and trends and develop strategies for improvement.
  • Provide excellent customer service by responding to a wide range of HR inquiries and delivering clear guidance to applicants, employees, and other stakeholders.
  • Manage records by ensuring timely creation, maintenance, and archiving of documents/files, and follow records retention and destruction procedures in accordance with legal requirements.
  • Work collaboratively as a key member of the HR team and demonstrate a consultative, solutions-focused approach.
  • Bring a genuine, approachable style to your work, supported by clear communication and sincere engagement.
  • Assist HR team members with a wide variety of Human Resources functions as needed.
