About The Position

This role is within the Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) of AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS), focusing on developing and leading go-to-market (GTM) strategies for High Performance Computing (HPC) and Accelerated Compute solutions tailored for the Healthcare and Life Sciences (HCLS) market. The position involves owning the end-to-end GTM strategy for HPC in HCLS, with a specific emphasis on AWS HIPAA-eligible services and dedicated healthcare environments. The responsibilities include identifying and developing business strategies to meet critical HPC requirements for customers in regulated healthcare and clinical settings, and executing campaigns to drive growth across the HCLS HPC portfolio. The role also entails developing partnership and deal strategies, managing senior-level customer relationships, and driving revenue growth. Success requires strategic thinking, effective cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to craft compelling value propositions, business cases, and financial proposals to influence technical decisions at the highest levels of HCLS organizations. The specialist will also influence AWS product roadmaps by providing customer insights to EC2, Batch, PCS, and other HPC service teams, and will coordinate with Data and Storage, Analytics, and SageMaker AI/ML teams. The work will define how pharmaceutical companies and research institutions transition from on-premises HPC clusters to cloud-native infrastructure at the intersection of genomics, AI/ML, drug discovery, and advanced computing.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of solving problems with technology in the Healthcare/Life Sciences Industry experience
  • 5+ years of Go-To-Market, Business Development, Sales, or Consulting experience
  • 5+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
  • 5+ years of working with Advanced Compute technologies including, but not limited to: Accelerated Compute, High Performance Compute, Visual/Spatial Compute, and/or IoT. experience
  • Experience presenting to both technical and non-technical executive audiences

Responsibilities

  • Own and execute end-to-end GTM strategy for HPC in the Healthcare and Life Sciences market, developing and executing comprehensive strategies that drive adoption across pharmaceutical, biotech, genomics, and clinical research organizations.
  • Work with cross-functional teams (sales, solutions architecture, product engineering, partners) to validate customer requirements, perform proofs of concept, and define pathways to production adoption.
  • Identify specific customer segments and partners to approach with targeted value propositions, build and qualify pipeline and support engagement through the entire business development cycle.
  • Develop business cases to support product feature requests for segment specific HPC use cases and workload classes, ensuring healthcare and life sciences-specific requirements are prioritized in AWS product roadmaps.
  • Define, develop, and manage HPC-focused AWS programs and initiatives tailored to Healthcare, Life Sciences, and regulated industry customers, including workshops, immersion days, migration frameworks, and reference architectures.
  • Collect, create, and manage sales and marketing collateral to facilitate the business development process, including whitepapers, solution briefs, customer success stories, and executive presentations.
  • Monitor customer onboarding and adoption; develop approaches to increase adoption rates, revenue growth, and workload retention for HPC workloads in AWS.
  • Execute on revenue, and non-revenue KPIs, delivering regular business reviews to senior leadership.
