About The Position

Lochner, an Egis company is recruiting for a Senior Highway Engineer in Pittsburgh, PA. This role involves roadway design on PennDOT and/or Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission Projects. This position can be based out of Harrisburg or Pittsburgh, PA.

Requirements

• Minimum of B.S. in Civil Engineering.
• Registered Professional Engineer in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is required.
• 8+ years of demonstrated experience in roadway design and plan preparation on transportation projects for PennDOT is required.
• Proficient at using MicroStation and experience in OpenRoads Designer is required.

Nice To Haves

• Project Management Experience is a plus.
• Drainage, stormwater, and erosion control design experience is a plus.
• PennDOT ECMS, EPS, URMS, ASTA, and/or AutoTAB experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform geometric roadway design.
• Assist in analyses, developing calculations, and preparing contract documents (PS&E) in accordance with state and local agency requirements.
• Coordinate with project staff, other disciplines, sub-consultants, clients, and reviewers to ensure accuracy and quality of work.
• Manage and maintain project documentation, including meeting project schedules, budgets, and scope.
• Partner with Lochner offices throughout the firm through work-sharing to deliver projects across the country on-time and within budget.
