About The Position

A Senior Electronics/Electrical Engineer Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Designer is a design professional who plays a critical role in the development of high-complexity printed circuit boards. As a Senior Electronics/Electrical Engineer PCB Designer, you will design, develop and execute printed circuit layouts for electronic equipment including sensors, motors, radar and navigation systems. You will work as a member of a cross-functional engineering team including Electronics, Electronics Packaging, Manufacturing, Component Engineering and Quality to ensure the PCB designs meet performance and manufacturing requirements. Your expertise will be critical in delivering high-quality PCB designs that support innovative product development. The Senior Electronics/Electrical Engineer PCB Designer independently executes simple to complex printed circuit layouts for standard board technologies. Independently executes (with minimal oversight) simple to complex printed circuit layouts for advanced board technologies. Provides mentorship and oversight for standard board technologies and workflow. Contributes to development of standard and advanced board technology best practices and methods

Requirements

  • 5-10 years experience in electrical engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Translates project and system requirements into well-defined hardware architectures working with cross-functional teams.
  • Innovatively solves issues, drives completion of the project to schedule, and collaboratively works with other technical contributors.
  • Builds, debugs, and tests prototypes and deliverable hardware.
  • Prepares documentation for manufacturing, and provides continuous support.
  • Researches and enables innovative solutions for cutting-edge designs.
  • Engages other engineers and partners to develop reliable, cost effective end solutions for products.
  • Drives solutions to complex problems with limited direction – contributes to requirements development, proposes ways forward, and adapts appropriately to changes in requirements.
  • Independently performs complex electronic architectures and designs.
  • Able to manage a task with multiple cross functional members and effectively communicates status to project leadership and customers.
  • Actively mentors less experienced teammates and provides thoughtful, constructive feedback.
  • Support business development and proposal activities.
