About The Position

You own the subscription funnel from the moment a user encounters Centr through their first 30 days of paid usage. This includes web pages between ad click and trial start, in-app onboarding through the first workout, offer architecture at trial end, cancellation, and the in-app surfaces that drive equipment upsell once they are a subscriber. You will work closely with the Sr. Ecom Manager (storefront, CRM, bundle), our growth agency (paid acquisition), and the Core UX product team (long-term in-app experience). A dedicated full-stack web engineer is paired to you, and the two of you will ship the web funnel autonomously. Paywalls and pricing iterate via RevenueCat config without dev tickets. Native mobile work routes through Core UX engineering, so part of your job is making the case for prioritization rather than assuming the capacity. We move these numbers by building experiences worth converting on. Our read is that the funnel underperforms because the experience does, not because we haven't pushed hard enough. We'd rather earn a subscription than trap someone into one. Get the experience right and the numbers follow.

Requirements

  • Owned a subscription funnel end-to-end and moved trial-to-paid at consumer scale
  • Shipped against both mobile (iOS/Android) and web subscription flows and understand why they behave differently
  • Know where the landmines are in RevenueCat, App Store / Play Store, Stripe, and Recharge
  • Believe the best growth work is indistinguishable from the best product work. Move trial-to-paid by making the trial deliver value, not by hiding the cancel button
  • Effective at influencing roadmaps you don't own (a meaningful chunk of your highest-leverage work lives inside the Core UX roadmap)
  • Spend more time in Claude Code than anyone you know

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with mature, well-instrumented funnels (this role is mostly zero-to-one)
  • Enjoy owning pricing, paywalls, and trial design alongside CRO and landing-page work
  • Prefer earning targets through experience rather than pressure tactics
  • Willing to own both strategy and execution
  • Comfortable writing the playbook as you go

Responsibilities

  • Web subscription onboarding: Signup, assessment, paywall, offer, trial activation. Closing the conversion gap between web and mobile is a first-90-days priority.
  • QR-to-app landing: The post-scan experience for retail equipment buyers (Costco, Academy) and bundle buyers.
  • In-app activation: Install through day 7. Onboarding flow, day-0/1/3 nudges, push, in-app engagement during trial.
  • Trial-to-paid conversion: Offer architecture at trial end, in-app re-engagement, cancellation on web and in-app, win-back surfaces inside the product.
  • Pricing and packaging: Plan architecture across iOS, Android, and web. Differentiated offers for new vs. returning vs. lapsed users.
  • In-app equipment upsell: The shopping feature, placement, and surfacing logic that turns subscribers into bundle and equipment buyers.
