This role is for a Senior Group Risk Analyst in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, working 37.5 hours per week in the Risk Management line of business. The position involves developing and operationalizing standards, policies, and processes to identify, report, and mitigate overall risk exposures. The analyst will proactively analyze potential risks, ensure aggregation and escalation to appropriate areas, and support ongoing risk measurement activities by acquiring, analyzing, and reporting business operational or relevant loss data. Responsibilities include establishing and providing regular risk analysis and reporting on operational loss performance, supporting business with analysis and reporting on risk issues and their impact (including scenario analysis), and potentially coordinating business continuity management (BCM) processes and supporting regulatory/compliance initiatives. The role also involves supporting enterprise-wide risk escalation, review, and approval processes, data management, policies, and risk assessment processes, as well as monitoring Key Risk Indicators and providing commentary and industry analysis for policy development and oversight. The position requires an expert level of professional knowledge in risk management and broader related areas, the ability to integrate organizational context into solutions, and apply best practices for process, product, or service improvements. The analyst will act as a subject matter expert, lead projects of moderate to complex risk and resource requirements, and solve complex problems requiring analysis of multiple variables and stakeholder consultation. The role involves building stakeholder alignment, providing process and subject matter advice at senior levels, and working independently as a senior technical lead while guiding others. The Senior Group Risk Analyst generally reports to a Manager or above.
