About The Position

The position requires owning bookings, revenue, and pipeline targets, driving disciplined sales execution, and ensuring accurate forecasting. The Senior Group Director Sales will also lead and support customer engagements for large, strategic ASIC Services opportunities, acting as an executive sponsor for key accounts. Collaboration with services delivery teams, IP, EDA, Foundry, and Ecosystem teams is crucial, as is providing market feedback to influence service offerings. Operational management includes driving opportunity qualification rigor, monitoring deal risk, and contributing to sales operations initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 10+ years of enterprise B2B sales experience, including experience selling ASIC, semiconductor, or design services
  • 5+ years of people management experience leading senior sales professionals
  • Demonstrated ability to close large, complex services engagements
  • Strong understanding of the ASIC design lifecycle and semiconductor ecosystem
  • Proven ability to work effectively across cross‑functional teams

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree preferred
  • Experience selling integrated solutions combining tools, IP, and services
  • Familiarity with advanced-node, foundry, or hyperscaler customer environments
  • Prior experience in EDA, Design IP, or silicon platforms
  • Strong executive communication and skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and develop a team of quota‑carrying sales professionals focused on ASIC and design services
  • Establish clear performance expectations related to pipeline creation, opportunity qualification, forecasting accuracy, and bookings attainment
  • Provide regular deal reviews, coaching, and performance feedback to drive consistent execution
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, and talent development activities for the sales organization
  • Own bookings, revenue, and pipeline targets for ASIC Services within assigned scope
  • Drive disciplined sales execution across complex, long-cycle services opportunities
  • Ensure accurate forecasting and adherence to Cadence sales processes and tools
  • Support territory and account planning efforts in collaboration with regional and global sales leadership
  • Lead and support customer engagements for large, strategic ASIC Services opportunities
  • Act as executive sponsor for selected key accounts and engagements
  • Guide proposal development, pricing strategy, and contract negotiations in coordination with internal stakeholders
  • Ensure consistent customer experience and alignment between sales commitments and delivery execution
  • Partner closely with Services delivery teams to align on scope, resourcing, and execution plans
  • Work with IP, EDA, Foundry, and Ecosystem teams to position integrated solutions where appropriate
  • Provide market and customer feedback to influence service offerings, enablement, and go‑to‑market priorities
  • Drive opportunity qualification rigor and appropriate resource allocation
  • Monitor deal risk and escalate issues as needed to ensure business outcomes
  • Contribute to sales operations initiatives including compensation alignment, process improvements, and enablement
