Senior Graphic Designer
About The Position
NAOVI is seeking a Senior Graphic Designer to assist the government with developing graphics, digital media, cartography, and other multimedia products. This role involves utilizing request management tools for customer support, coordinating with UI/UX designers, and creating engaging, user-friendly graphic designs for various digital and written products. The designer will be responsible for implementing designs for web pages, mobile applications, newsletters, ads, infographics, banners, illustrations, and logos, ensuring compliance with production standards, copyright laws, accessibility requirements, and public release clearances. The position also includes conducting technical quality checks, managing HTML/CSS development for responsive design, and providing cartography support for map design.
Requirements
- BA/BS and 18 years of experience or no degree and 24 years of experience. Masters degree with 10 years of experience.
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph level clearance.
- Experience with leading the development of graphics, digital media, cartography, and other multimedia products.
- Experience with front-end web design, UI/UX, HTML/CSS.
- Experience with photography and video editing.
- Candidates will need to provide a portfolio of their graphic design experience with resume.
Responsibilities
- Develop graphics, digital media, cartography, and other multimedia products.
- Utilize request management tools to provide swift, high quality customer support for communication requests.
- Coordinate with UI/UX designer in Knowledge Management, to ensure graphics products provide an engaging and user-friendly experience.
- Create graphic designs for a variety of written and digital products.
- Develop design concepts and implement designs for new web pages, mobile applications, newsletters, ads, infographics, banners, illustrations, logos, and other types of digital content that will be presented online.
- Ensure products conform to all production standards, copyright laws, accessibility compliance requirements, public release clearances.
- Conducts technical quality checks.
- Manages an approved concept and build in HTML/CSS so it complies with responsive design principles.
- Provides Cartography support, as needed, to design thematic and reference Maps.
- Leading the development of graphics, digital media, cartography, and other multimedia products.
- Creating graphics products that provide engaging and user-friendly experience.
- Creating graphic designs for a variety of written and digital products.
- Developing design concepts and implementing designs for new web pages, mobile applications, newsletters, ads, infographics, banners, illustrations, logos, and other types of digital content presented online.
- Ensuring products conform to all production standards, copy-write laws, accessibility compliance requirements, public release clearances.
- Conducting technical quality checks.
- Mentor and trains junior staff.
