About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Grants Manager to join our team in Chicago, IL. A Senior Grants Manager provides strategic leadership across grant programs, ensuring technical excellence, compliance, and consistency. This role represents the organization externally, supports business development, and provides final technical guidance on complex or sensitive matters.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree plus ten years of relevant experience; an associate’s degree plus twelve to thirteen years of relevant experience; or a high school diploma plus fourteen to fifteen years of relevant experience.
  • Relevant experience includes planning, finance, disaster management, administration, economics, engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Proficiency in relevant computer programs is also required.

Responsibilities

  • Performs grant writing, reviews, monitoring, cost estimates, reconciliation and reimbursement documentation.
  • Assists with planning, proposals, scopes of work, specifications, presentations and technical reports.
  • Leads or coordinates meetings and communicates with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Attends conferences and meetings with clients and regulatory agencies to ascertain requirements and assist in the development of appropriate business development strategies.
  • Ensures quality and maintenance of documentation and records.
  • May conduct site visits. Enter data into tracking systems and maintain databases.
  • Analyzes and prepares technical studies and reports and contributes to technical writing.
  • Collects data, performs basic computations, prepares charts/graphs.
  • Maintains awareness of regulatory agency policies, and keeps other personnel informed of changes.
  • Ensures compliance with rules, regulations, policy and guidance and prepares letters of approval.
  • Supervises, coordinates, guides, and reviews of project work and the work of junior professionals.
  • Performs such other duties as supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.
