About The Position

The Senior Grants and Financial Budget Analyst supports Plymouth Housing’s Finance team with budgeting, forecasting, grant spend-down, reporting, and financial analysis. This role helps translate financial data into clear, actionable information for non-finance leaders and works closely with budget owners, accounting, asset management, and senior leadership to support informed decision-making.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of financial analysis experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with grant-funded or multi-entity environments preferred.
  • Experience with financial systems such as MIP, Yardi, or Prophix is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly forecasts, cash projections, budget-to-actual reports, and variance analysis.
  • Analyze financial trends, scenario impacts, and operating results across multiple business areas.
  • Support ad hoc financial analysis to help guide decisions and manage costs.
  • Partner with budget owners on grant spend-down strategies and reporting.
  • Support indirect cost rate analysis and development for governmental grants.
  • Ensure financial documentation and reporting meet grant, audit, and compliance requirements.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting software selection and implementation.
  • Serve as a superuser for the grant spend-down tool.
  • Train finance staff and budget owners on budgeting, reporting, and related processes.
  • Collaborate with the CFO, data analytics team, accounting, and asset management.
  • Support financial analysis for buildings in transition, including sale, redevelopment, or refinance scenarios.
  • Assist leadership in evaluating the financial impact of strategic initiatives.
