The Senior Grant Accountant reports to the Sr. Director of Finance, and is responsible for financial management, accounting, reconciliation, reporting, and compliance of government, foundation, and other restricted grants and contracts supporting the organization's behavioral health, substance use disorder, and human-services programs. The position will have significant responsibility for programs funded by the New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS), as well as federal, state, local, and private funding sources. Position also provides financial oversight of an assigned portfolio of grants from initial award and budget setup through monthly reconciliation, reimbursement, financial reporting, audit support, and contract closeout. The Senior Grant Accountant works closely with Finance, Program Leadership, Payroll, Accounts Payable, and Purchasing to ensure expenditures are properly recorded, adequately supported, allowable under applicable funding requirements, and within approved budgets.
