About The Position

The Grant Accountant's responsibilities are integral to the financial operations, ensuring accuracy in grant billing and compliance with funders’ requirements. This role supports the Cleveland Rape Crisis Center (CRCC), which was founded in 1974 and offers services in Cuyahoga, Ashtabula, Geauga and Lake counties, including legal advocacy, case management, and therapy services. CRCC also engages in education and outreach work to prevent sexual violence and human trafficking.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Accounting or Business-related field
  • 1-3 years of Accounting or Bookkeeping experience
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Nice To Haves

  • Grant Accounting experience preferred or a plus
  • Non-Profit Accounting experience preferred or a plus
  • May consider an equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training to meet the essential functions of the position

Responsibilities

  • Assist in organizing, maintaining, and fulfilling all financial aspects of each grant, ensuring compliance with all grant/foundation expenditures.
  • Understand allowable expenses, conditions, and reporting deadlines for assigned grants.
  • Assist in maintaining files of all grants, budgets, contracts, notice of grant awards, revisions to grants, and other related documents.
  • Prepare all assigned required program grant billings and financial reporting within established time frames and work collaboratively to track fund utilization and spend down.
  • Assist in preparation for on-site visits and audits.
  • Special projects as needed to support Finance team.
  • Ad hoc reporting as needed.
