About The Position

ASSYST is seeking a Senior GIS Programmer to support the GIS modernization and integration efforts of our client in Towson, Maryland. This role focuses on application development, ArcGIS Server environment support, legacy code modernization, and system integrations. The position is hybrid, requiring 3 days onsite and 2 days remote.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience developing and modifying applications using C#, JavaScript, Python, HTML, .NET, and J2EE.
• Hands-on experience with ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS APIs (including JavaScript API), ArcGIS WebAppBuilder, Collector, ArcSDE, ArcGIS Mobile, and ModelBuilder.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, triggers, stored procedures, and relational database management systems (SQL Server, Oracle preferred).
• Hands-on experience developing reports using SSRS.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
• 5+ years of background in systems analysis, change management analysis, project management, or program analysis.
• Recent experience supporting a state or local government entity.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and upgrade ArcGIS Server web applications and web services.
• Support configuration efforts and web service integrations for Cityworks.
• Repair and upgrade legacy Facilities and utility toolsets written in Visual C# using Visual Studio 2010 (IDE) and the ArcObjects SDK 10.1.
• Conduct root-cause analysis on program and production issues.
• Design and generate operational reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
