About The Position

Ninyo & Moore, a SOCOTEC Company is a professional geotechnical and environmental sciences consulting firm providing services in geotechnical engineering, engineering geology, geophysics, hydrogeology, soil and materials testing, special inspection, soil and groundwater contamination assessment, site remediation, hazardous building materials, industrial hygiene, and occupational safety. This role involves managing geotechnical, forensic, and construction projects, interacting directly with clients, managing project budgets, and coordinating field activities. The position also requires performing engineering analyses, preparing proposals and technical reports, and providing technical support and mentorship to staff.

Requirements

• B.S. in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering required
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in geotechnical consulting
• Detail-oriented, team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

• M.S. in related field preferred
• Familiarity with local engineering practices and Austin-area projects preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage geotechnical, forensic, and construction projects
• Interact directly with clients and manage project budgets
• Coordinate and participate in field activities, including: Logging borings, test pits, trenches, and cores
• Evaluating geologic and seismic hazards
• Performing forensic evaluations of distressed structures and failed slopes
• Perform engineering analyses, including: Foundation design and evaluation, Slope stability analysis, Settlement analysis
• Prepare geotechnical engineering proposals and technical reports
• Provide technical support and mentorship to staff engineers, geologists, and field technicians
