About The Position

Kleinfelder's Geotechnical team is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer/Program Manager. This position will focus on managing projects for a major retail client across the Central Division and can be based in any of Kleinfelder's Texas offices. The role involves coordinating with clients, managing a portfolio of Geotechnical and Construction Materials Testing projects, supervising field exploration and technical support, mentoring junior staff, performing analyses, and preparing designs and reports for complex projects.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of related experience.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) License, with the ability to achieve registration in multiple states.
  • Must have a positive work attitude and ability to work safely and efficiently when managing multiple tasks
  • Ability to work independently or with a team in a multi-disciplinary environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Candidate must be willing to work in addition to a standard 40-hour work week when needed.
  • Following an offer, candidates will be required to satisfactorily complete employment reference checks, verification of professional licensure and/or educational credentials, a motor vehicle report (MVR), and a comprehensive background check.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and communicate with internal or external clients to understand their needs
  • Manage a portfolio of Geotechnical and Construction Materials Testing projects meeting client and company requirements for safety, budget, quality and schedule
  • Safely supervise field exploration, sampling, inspection, analysis and technical support.
  • Mentor and manage junior staff and project level geotechnical professionals through project performance
  • Perform and develop scopes for field and office tasks (technical and non-technical) and independent analysis.
  • Coordinate tasks and manage medium to large size multi-disciplined projects with guidance and interaction by senior operations/technical staff.
  • Prepare or review designs, reports and calculations on complex projects.
