About The Position

ZipStaff is seeking a Senior GenTax Developer to support STARS, the tax-processing platform for a state government tax administration organization. You will analyze, design, code, test, and document enhancements and production fixes on FAST Enterprises GenTax using C#, PostgreSQL, and Visual Studio. Work is largely independent, coordinated with other developers, and essential to accurate, efficient tax processing.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional programming experience.
• Minimum 2 years on a FAST Enterprises system (GenTax, Fast DS-VS, Fast UI-PL, or Fast CSE).
• Hands-on C#, PostgreSQL, and Visual Studio.
• Ability to implement SQR change requests and use FCR to project standards.
• Must not have worked for FAST Enterprises directly in the past 6 months.
• Able to work independently and in structured code reviews.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

• Prior GenTax work on a state tax / revenue system.
• Experience with production support and tax-processing workflows.
• Ability to work Maine business hours.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, code, test, and document GenTax enhancements and production fixes to FAST functional and technical standards.
• Implement SQR change requests in FAST GenTax and track changes in the Fast Central Repository (FCR).
• Develop in C#, PostgreSQL, and Visual Studio.
• Coordinate work with other developers; participate in structured code reviews and walkthroughs.
• Execute with little direct supervision.
• Support efficiency and accuracy of state tax processing.
