About The Position

The General Manager fulfills a key, full-time position that provides exceptional property management, leadership and direction on behalf of a large and dynamic master-planned community. As a key associate with the client, other on-site staff, the company, and internal support staff, the General Manager shall carry out the role with a view toward delivering excellence and professionalism in all interactions with these stakeholders and team-members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • 5 to 7 of Experience within the industry
  • Florida CAM License- Required
  • PCAM Required or willing to obtain within 90 days of employment
  • 3 to 5 Years leadership experience
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills- preferred
  • Occasional travel may be required

Responsibilities

  • Understand and carry out the terms and conditions of the Management Contracts
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with residents, board members and members of the association
  • Develop and submit complete and accurate annual budget(s), meeting all deadlines and demonstrating thorough analysis and consideration for the goals of the asset as well as market conditions to make qualified decisions
  • Develop and maintain an effective ongoing resident relation plan, implement initiatives, and maintain an operating environment to achieve an exemplary level of resident services
  • Coordinate activities with other corporate support functions
  • Analyze advantages and disadvantages of alternative solutions to problems and make recommendations to the Board of Directors
  • Prepare for, attend and present Manager’s Reports, census and Financial/Budget Reports, and summarize in notes and minutes all Board of Director meetings
  • Fully develop all potential revenue opportunities and cost savings initiatives
  • Implement standard operating procedures that are consistent with the culture of the community
  • Oversee CAMS performance in accurately managing the association budget and financial processes, including overall compliance outlined in the Florida Statue 718 and 720
  • Assist with negotiations, management, effective administrative and oversight of bulk contracts
  • Interface regularly with internal customers and external vendors and clients, by hosting new resident monthly orientation meetings
  • Supervises and implement schedules for daily work for all the on-site staff in support of the communities
