About The Position

Sky Climber Renewables (SCR) is seeking experienced Senior GE Troubleshooting Technicians to provide advanced operational and maintenance support near Laverne, Oklahoma. This role is designed for highly skilled GE technicians who can diagnose, repair, and resolve complex turbine faults with limited supervision. Successful candidates will serve as technical leaders on site, supporting scheduled maintenance, advanced corrective maintenance, turbine recovery, and reliability improvement activities. This is a long-term, site-based position supporting GE SLE 1.5-77 turbines, SSB Pitch systems, and GE converter systems.

Requirements

  • Minimum five (5) years of troubleshooting and repair experience on GE wind turbines
  • Demonstrated experience troubleshooting GE converter systems
  • Demonstrated experience with SSB Pitch systems
  • Advanced capability diagnosing electrical and control system faults
  • Ability to independently troubleshoot turbine outages and complex operational issues
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, pitch, converter, and control systems
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, fault logs, and technical documentation
  • Proficiency using laptops, diagnostic software, electrical test equipment, and turbine control interfaces
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
  • Ability to pass background check(s) and drug screening
  • Ability to meet customer-specific site access requirements
  • Ability to maintain all required technical and safety certifications

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting GE SLE 1.5-77 turbines
  • Formal GE converter training
  • Formal SSB Pitch training
  • Prior experience in a site-based wind farm operations and maintenance environment
  • Experience mentoring technicians or leading complex troubleshooting activities

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair of GE wind turbine systems
  • Analyze turbine faults and identify root causes of recurring operational issues
  • Diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, communication, pitch, converter, and control system faults
  • Troubleshoot and repair SSB Pitch and GE converter systems
  • Support turbine return-to-service and site reliability improvement initiatives
  • Lead complex corrective maintenance activities within assigned capability
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to Service Technicians and newer team members
  • Use GE turbine software, electrical schematics, service manuals, and technical documentation to isolate and resolve faults
  • Execute work in accordance with OEM procedures, customer requirements, and SCR safety standards
  • Complete work orders, service records, and maintenance documentation accurately and on time
  • Maintain clean, organized tools, equipment, and work areas
  • Operate company and customer vehicles safely and responsibly
  • Participate in rotating on-call support as required
