About The Position

General Motors is seeking a dedicated individual to join their Systems Engineering Team as a Senior Functional Calibration Specialist. This role involves supporting the creation of new features and content by working closely with systems engineering and software development teams. The specialist will be responsible for developing calibration-specific requirements for features and testing new features before they are released to the broader development community. A broad knowledge of calibration and system functions is preferred, as the role covers all technical subject matter areas a Product Management Team (PMT) is responsible for. Depending on the area of focus, a specialist might concentrate on engine controls, serial data, platform interface, or diagnostic calibration functionality. These roles are crucial for ensuring world-class powertrain integration to meet program objectives. Functional Calibration Specialists will be part of technical Product Management Teams, which include Functional System Architects, Calibration Technical Specialists, and Sub System Lead Engineers. These teams manage engine or transmission controls software and calibrations from concept and requirements through software release. This is a challenging systems engineering position with significant technical complexity, program scope, and breadth, involving multiple cross-system interactions and global project collaboration. The ideal candidate will have experience motivating others, managing multiple projects and deadlines, and familiarity with various vehicle systems/component domains.
