About The Position

Stefanini Group is hiring a Senior Calibration Technician in Medina, NY. This position is responsible for ensuring that electrical, electronic, mechanical, and analytical measuring equipment meets industry standards. The role involves testing and calibrating indicating and recording equipment for proper readings, maintaining equipment, troubleshooting to the component level, and repairing damage. The technician will operate various electronic meters and test equipment, read blueprints and schematics, and follow written instructions. Responsibilities also include coordinating with external calibration vendors, resolving issues, and maintaining communication and reports. The role requires the ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision and proficiency in software packages like MS Excel, Word, and Access Databases. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Good math and reading skills
  • Computer literate
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Basic mechanical ability and understanding
  • Knowledge of anti-static precautions for working with static sensitive electronic components
  • Knowledge of working safely with electricity
  • Knowledge of “Good Manufacturing Practices”
  • Knowledge of Medical Device Regulations
  • Ability to learn the functions of infusion pumps and its various configurations.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years of College, Technical Trade School or US Military training in electronics is preferred
  • Working experience in calibration or related work preferred.
  • Working experience in medical devices or related industry preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring that electrical, electronic, mechanical, and analytical measuring equipment meets industry standards.
  • Testing and calibrating indicating and recording equipment so they give proper readings.
  • Maintaining equipment, troubleshooting equipment (to the component level) and repairing any damage.
  • Operating various electronic meters and test equipment.
  • Reading blueprints, schematics and follow written instructions.
  • Coordinating scheduling and interface between external calibration vendors resolves issues and maintains proper communication and reports.
  • Performing tasks assigned with minimal supervision.
  • Using various software packages such as MS Excel, Word, and Access Databases.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
