Senior Fullstack Software Engineer
About The Position
This role is for a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer in the Studio Engineering Product Delivery department, working remotely on a full-time schedule. The salary range is $128,054.78 - $178,500.96 per year. The engineer will lead the design and delivery of secure, high-performance Java microservices and cloud-native applications on Google Cloud Platform, build modern front-end user interfaces using Next.js, React, and TypeScript, and design, deploy, and manage scalable RESTful APIs and distributed systems. Responsibilities also include conducting code reviews, enforcing automated unit testing, and mentoring junior engineers.
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree required.
- 1 year of experience required.
- 5 years of professional fullstack software development experience building cloud-native applications in an Agile environment.
- Expert-level proficiency in Java and Spring Boot paired with strong hands-on experience in Next.js or React.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Documented experience building microservices and managing cloud infrastructure within Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Nice To Haves
- 4 years of experience preferred.
- 2 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of secure, high-performance Java microservices and cloud-native applications on Google Cloud Platform to power critical patient care experiences.
- Build modern, responsive front-end user interfaces using Next.js, React, and TypeScript to ensure intuitive digital journeys for clinicians and patients.
- Design, deploy, and manage scalable RESTful APIs and distributed systems following strict test-driven development and architectural best practices.
- Conduct thorough code reviews and enforce automated unit testing to guarantee platform security, high availability, and code quality.
- Mentor junior engineers through paired programming and design discussions to foster technical growth and engineering excellence across the team.
