This role involves designing, architecting, and developing modern web applications using React, TypeScript, and Vue. The engineer will build and maintain Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) and API services (REST and/or GraphQL) that aggregate, adapt, and optimize back-end data for UI consumption. A key aspect of the role is translating UI/UX requirements into efficient back-end data models, API contracts, and service boundaries. The engineer will also define and evolve front-end and BFF architectures with a focus on performance, scalability, security, and maintainability. Collaboration with UX and product teams to translate Figma designs into high-quality, reusable UI components aligned with shared design systems and component libraries is essential. The role also includes driving UI performance optimization, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility, as well as contributing to and consuming shared component libraries across React and Vue ecosystems. Additionally, the engineer will architect and maintain back-end infrastructure in AWS (EC2, RDS, SQS, SES, ECR) and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes), own and improve API performance through caching strategies, query optimization, and efficient data transformation, and respond to production incidents. Security integration using identity platforms like Keycloak, including SSO and role-based access control, is also a responsibility. The role involves designing, evolving, and optimizing relational database schemas (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and caching layers (Redis), ensuring data consistency, integrity, and performance. Technical leadership, including code reviews, establishing best practices, mentoring junior engineers, and participating in design reviews and sprint planning, is expected. Championing high code quality through design, automated testing, and CI/CD discipline is also a key part of the role.
